So, you’re thinking about getting a Personal Trainer (well done on coming this far) & now you’re probably thinking some, if not all, of the following:

Peter is 60 yrs old and an absolute inspiration, he trains with us 3 x per week and not only that but he is a black belt in Hapkido and trains & teaches students of all ages & levels 3-4 days per week. He has 3 great teenage boys and a wonderful partner Ruth whom also trains 2 x per week here with Peter.

In the last 12 months Peter has trained consistently and with heart & passion - sometimes coming to us the same day he has been to Hapkido making it 2 sessions in the 1 day! Don't worry, we don't expect you all to be a machine like Peter but just wanted to share his story with you as I think it deserves a mention for a man of 60 yrs young. He is showing that

Achievement All goals achieved! Running 30 - 45 mins comfortably. Training legs hard & without any pain or discomfort - squatting 110 kg's with proper form. Personal bests on every exercise including a 220 llb row & lat pulldown and a 110 kg bench press! Bob was one of our longest standing clients and was with us from October 2005 until early 2008 - he now does his own training at his local gym. In that time he has dropped from a ‘top weight’ of 97 kg to a very respectable 83 kg and is well within sight of his personal weight goal
of 80 kg.

He is a man who completely changed habits that had been with him for numerous years and he had struggled with finding the right mix of healthy eating and regular exercise to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. “I began training with Neil prior to Christmas 2005. I had already been working with another personal trainer but was not happy with the results that I was getting. This is Mr and Mrs Smiley, names changed due to them being secret government agents (or something like that)! They have just completed the couples 10 week package and they are very happy with the results! They have managed to change habits, train 3 x per week, eat healthy, work, travel and buy a house all in just 10 weeks, well done guys, we are really proud of you - despite being mean to you during your sessions :) Mr Smiley lost 6.7 kg's and Mrs Smiley lost 3.8kg and at the same time they have built muscle and achieved a level of fitness beyond that which they were accustomed.

"The ten week program with Neil gave us the results that we wanted; we are fitter, healthier, more motivated and lost weight. It was hard -especially the eating plan - but once we got over the sore muscles which clearly had not been used in years, we both started to look forward to every session. Neil worked out the right level of exercise and encouragement/sadism so that we put in maximum effort every session.
Although Rod and I had slightly different goals and different levels of fitness, the joint sessions worked for both of us. Now that the10 week program is over, we are continuing to have sessions with Neil to keep up the good work. Now, all he needs to do is work on his jokes....."

John Hii, 28, Engineer

Not sure why but I always seem to get caught up in the rush of daily life. After 12 years of inactivity, I was unfit and out of shape and found it really hard to and near impossible to motivate myself to get to the gym or do any training. Having said that, I do have a passion for winter sport but I’d struggle down the intermediate slopes at Mt. Buller every winter and my body would be aching and exhausted by the end of the 2nd day!
I walked past Inta-Fitness in Kew one day in Nov 2007 and I decided to give myself another chance. A chance to remember & feel the sensation of carving up the back country slopes in the crisp of the winter air again. Their tailor made exercise suited to my specific needs and goals and the flexibility to change fitness training sessions & times fitted well with my busy schedule. I appreciate Inta-Fitness’ understanding in the need to push myself to my personal limits and yet not overpowering to cause me to lose interests in exercising.
I can recall the days when I struggled with the intermediate slopes at Mt. Buller but in Feb 2008, I was able to race down the Swiss Alps without feeling tired, worn out and defeated. It was an awesome feeling and very rewarding!
It’s May 2008, 7 months down the track & I’m still with Inta-Fitness. Neil & Paul have seen me through the evolution of my fitness, always there to help me achieve my next goal. I still have some way to go in achieving all my goals but I am stronger, fitter now and the best shape I have ever been!

Brad already knew how to train hard but his 2 sessions per week with me gave him a new perspective on hard training – haha. It was just different to what he was used to as it was a combination of weights & cardio that he had not experienced before. I’m an ex-boxer and I know what it’s like to train hard but never did I think that training with Neil could be so tough and rewarding. I wanted to improve my strength and power and lose the gut I have put on since I stopped boxing. My strength and power have improved heaps and at work I’ve got more energy and stamina and I’m throwing sheets of plaster around like they're paperweights-it’s great!

We do group training and we have a great laugh while working our butts off. Neil makes us do the funniest things, you wouldn’t think it was exercise but man is it hard work and we’re feeling muscles we never knew existed. Our stomachs are sore just from laughing half of the time. We love it!!!

Before I started training with Neil I had just arrived in Australia after 3 months holiday that included beer as my main source of calories. I just wanted to get fit, lose my beer gut and improve my energy levels so I could make it through the 12 hr shifts in the emergency department. I have only been seeing Neil for 4 mths but in that time I have managed to get into the best shape of my life. I’m constantly amazed at the techniques Neil employs to keep me progressing when I didn’t think it was possible I could get any better!
